What a blast I had this Thursday – again at the French Embassy in Copenhagen! Have a look at the video above and I’m convinced you’ll understand why. Above & Beyond Society’s Fundraiser for Sisterhood Foundation threw an amazing event. And guess what:

DKK 156.000 was raised to help women in India get an education and start their own “entrepreneurial self help groups”

All revenue was dedicated to the project and the event itself was sponsored – even cool & lovely DJ Serge:

DJ Serge is surrounded by beautiful girls and looks like a very happy man

French ambassador Francois Zimeray and Tine Willumsen, CEO of Above & Beyond warmly welcome the more than 150 guests:

By the way, you can watch sweet Frederik promote my blog in the YouTube video

Two lovely ladies enjoying themselves – at a very special and meaningful event:

My gorgeous friend Carine:

Carine joined the auction, placed the highest bid on a beautiful Ann Wiberg dress – and went home with a fab outfit. And at the same time supported women in India – well done, my friend.

My favourite café is a little Thai eat in /take out on Nyhavn. We had just moved to Denmark on a hot July day and we stopped there with our tired kids (and very tired selves) and the lovely kind staff fed our children cool chunks of watermelon while we waited for our Pad Thai to cook. The food is always great but the thoughtful staff are the real treasure.

One of my favorite cafés in Copenhagen, is Cafe Retro Norrebro (Jægersborggade). This non-profit café is completely run buy volunteers, and the revenue goes to charity. Besides this great concept, the whole place is super cosy, welcoming with nice volunteers :)

My favourite restaurant in Copenhagen, is the Modern American Diner (Mad) on Vesterbrogade – an authentic American restaurant with the best burgers, steaks and milkshakes! American design, imports, ingredients & nice service.
