Equipped with a glass of rose wine, I prepare myself to test the new BRAUN Silk-épil 7… supposed to remove even the shortest hairs – and can be used wet as dry.
I don’t really have time to do this, being busy with working on the blog Christmas calendar. And this year I have decided my December, my Christmas to be very peaceful without saying yes to new things. But when asked to test it, memories way back came to my mind, and I guess it was a decision based on emotions (O: You see, the first time I was aquainted with hair removal by machine was in my late teens:
It was such a horrible experience I remember it like it was yesterday.
Then why do I jump into it now? Why not just stick to the ol’ razor and settle with that. No, no. I’m curious and would like to see if technology has improved (= less painful :) ).
Don’t want to go into details with my first attempt of making my legs hair free by machine. But I can tell you there was a lot of yelling, screaming and tears. I was on my room listening to loud music; my mom could hear me anyway – LOL. There even came small drops of blood on my legs. Yep, it was a hurtful experience.
So when bringing this Mr. BRAUN for a quick shower, of course I was reluctant.
So I just throw myself at it. Turn the machine on, and start using it on my legs right away.
I am pleased to find out it doesn’t hurt. It’s not pure bliss either, but the pain is… acceptable; how can I explain it, even less hurtful than when I began to correct my eyebrows with a tweezer – haha! And yes, the photo is just a tease, there will be no public video of me in the shower… maybe when I’m 90 (O;
Sometimes it feels good to overcome one’s fears, look the bull straight in the eye and just do it. Give things a second chance. Now I’m looking forward to a new beauty chapter in my life: No more daily Mr. Razor, just soft and smooth legs, using Mr. BRAUN only once in a while.
Peace & Love,
This is a sponsored post. Please note I choose myself which products I would like to write about. And the opinion is always my own.
