Holy… have passed the basement shop Kvindehuset (The Female House)in Gothersgade 37 several times – when I finally decide to walk down the stairs and check out the place. Drawn by extra-ordinary antiques and vintage wear, put together in a mysterious mix, the shop seems both a bit frightening and… interesting.
And what a world I step into! All the furniture, clothes and art work is made of… waste. Volunteer worker Lin van Roe insists on me sitting down in her leopard chair. Haha, I don’t look like I’m feeling too safe, do I?
Meanwhile she tells me she was the first Art Director of New York Cosmopolitan. Wauw! Then I kindly ask her to retake the photo. It looks a bit shaky, I say, but then she tells me her hands aren’t what they used to be… so shaky it is – what the heck, from a beautiful and exciting woman who I’d like to hear more about. Sharing a bottle of wine with Lin and hear a few of her stories – would be just great, I suspect!
Peace & Love,
Ps. She also wants me to meet her trash lady – love it!Meet one amazing Copenhagen woman: Our Hardcore Redesigner,
